Biography

Jörg is an all-around talent from Germany. He grew up on a verry unique place. His home – Norderney – is a calm island with a lot of nature and beauty. There was no possibility for Jörg to learn art on the small island, however he found his own way to creativity

His first steps in the world of art were as a teenager when he started to learn the organ all by himself. He had no teacher so out of necessity he learned to play by ear. But this was just the beginning. In school he learned analog photography and how to develop the black and white negatives.

When he finished school, he started to learn Wing Tsun (martial arts) in Heidelberg (Germany). In the process, he also learned fencing as a hobby and professional Eskrima (a martial arts style from the Phillippines known for self-defense). As he practiced intensively he soon became a martial arts teacher and decided to make his hobby his job and founded his own Wing Tsun school at his home Norderney.

Jörg became father of 5 kids in the following years and worked in different jobs but his enthusiasm about arts never stopped. He started with photography as a hobby. Through online lessons and books, he improved his skills to a professional level and was then able to make his money with photography. As this became his job he started with writing as his new hobby and became an author and published several fantasy novels. For his books, he created his own world called Ætheris with fantasy creatures and cultures that have never existed before. His excitement about arts grew more and more so he started experimenting and became one of the pioneers of drone photography and drone videography. He not only shot stunning photos and videos with his drones, he also learned how to build a drone from ground up and had a collection of his own drones. He even cut all the footage and was able to produce professional videos all by himself. From this point on he never stopped with photography and learned different styles.
This year he also came back to his first hobby of music and starts composing his own orchestral music.

It is obvious that Jörg Hasenfratz is a multitalented artist. He worked over 30 years intensively with different art styles, found his own way and his creativity seems to grow more and more.

When we asked Jörg about his inspiration that makes him so passionate about art, he said that nature and the beauty in it ignites his enthusiasm.
